FRESHWATER MAXUM 3000 SCR

This Express Cruiser is designed for enjoyment! The Maxum 3000 SCR is a wonderful family express whose modern styling and attractive interior make her a lot of boat for the money. Like her sister ships in the Maxum fleet, she is built on a solid fiberglass deep V hull with a molded pulpit and integrated transom.

Her mid-cabin floor plan is arranged in the conventional manner with a convertible U-shaped lounge aft and double berths in her forward stateroom. Both cabins have fold-away accordion privacy doors, a definite improvement over the privacy curtains so often found in other mid-cabin designs. By offsetting her forward berth, Maxum designers created a very open interior in the SCR, larger in fact than the actual dimensions might suggest. Storage is plentiful and three overhead hatches and six opening ports provide excellent lighting and ventilation.

A gas assist hatch in the cockpit sole provides great access to her engine compartment.

Additional features include a walk-thru windshield, wet bar and a foredeck sun pad. She even has a genset, which is not common in this type of boat.

There's no mistaking the Maxum heritage of the 3000 SCR. There's the swept back angle of the wrap-around windshield and radar Arch; the integrated bow pulpit and sleek stainless steel bow rails. Up close, the 3000 SCR is equally impressive. The transom platform offers a telescoping swim ladder, a fresh water shower and built-in fender storage. In the cockpit, plush seating invites conversation. There's a large U-shaped lounge with filler cushions to convert it to extra sleeping or sun lounging. The helm bench is adjustable and comfortably seats three.

There's a full compliment of instrumentation that includes an illuminated compass, VHF Radio, and digital depth sounder; Engine controls are top mounted with the trim and tilt switches in the handle. There's a wet bar in the cockpit and a large sunpad on the foredeck.

One of the best ways to fully appreciate the 3000 SCR is from the inside out-literally. The view from the salon settee shows it all. In the galley, curving white cabinetry is accented by gold push button knobs. There's the deep shine of Avonite countertops and the warm glow of recessed lighting. The Ultraleather lounge is soft and sweeps through in an elegant curve. The forward berth is beautifully lit with both overhead and reading lights. The midship double berth converts to a lounge area with cocktail table. The dinette converts to a berth as well. In the head: more yacht-like luxury. Constructed with a molded fiberglass liner, the head offers a shower, molded-in sink, marine toilet, mirror and overhead lighting.
