Do you want to visit South Africa? Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route is one of the most beautiful towns in the world. Unlike the rest of the Garden Route there is almost no wind to bother you while you are seeking the sun. A major attraction for tourists to Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route of South Africa is whale watching. Stroll along the white sandy beaches and you might see them only a few feet away in the waves. Every year these amazing mammals come to calve in the quite waters of this lovely town

Robberg Nature Reserve in the Garden Route is one of those spots where you can stand and stare out over the ocean, wishing you never have to leave. Watch how the ocean smashes against the huge rocks only to leave a bath of foam behind. These enormous rock formations on the Island of the Robberg Nature Reserve are amazing.

Finding accommodation in Plettenberg Bay is not that difficult but do make sure you book well in advance if your vacation is in December or January. This high season times are usually fully booked. The Jewel of the Garden Route as they call Plettenberg Bay, will reward you for your effort.

You can get a self catering unit or a personal house to rent as many residents in Plettenberg Bay leaves town for the December Rush. They will take this opportunity to let their properties and come back when the rush is over. Wherever you are staying when visiting Plettenberg Bay, your stay will be well worth it.

In the mornings you can wake up to a new painting when the sunrise turns everything into a red mass and then a golden sky. I always think that if you close your eyes while standing in the indigenous forests you can still hear the elephants that once roamed here. You will be expecting a fairy to jump out from behind a tree. Take a deep breath and you can smell the freshness of the ferns and the fynbos.
